PITTSBURGH, PA – The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office announces the apprehension of Malcolm J. Davis, 31 years of age from the City of Pittsburgh’s Northside neighborhood. Davis is a registered sex offender with Pennsylvania State Police under Megan’s Law following a guilty plea in 2013 for the indecent assault of a complainant less than 13 years of age. As part of his sentencing, Davis is a “Tier 3” lifetime registrant.
The last time Davis had registered with PA State Police was on April 21, 2020. West Mifflin Police had reason to believe that Davis was living elsewhere than his registered address, which was revealed two days later. Due to this finding, Davis had violated the terms of his probation/parole and a felony arrest warrant was issued for failure to comply with registration requirements.
On Friday, May 1, Allegheny County Police filed an additional arrest warrant on Davis for a new incident that occurred in 2019, regarding an alleged sexual assault of another minor.
Last evening, Sheriff’s Deputies developed information that Davis was staying at a residence in the 400 block of 18th Street in the City of Beaver Falls, Beaver County. Deputies along with Beaver Falls Police responded to the address and made contact with a relative of Davis’ and were able to determine that he was inside the residence. While speaking to the relative, the Deputies located Davis just beyond the front door and took him into custody without incident around 10:50 PM.
Davis was transported to the Allegheny County Police Headquarters for questioning regarding the 2019 alleged assault and was later lodged at the Allegheny County Jail on both arrest warrants. He will await arraignment on the two separate cases.
