PITTSBURGH, PA – The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office announces the apprehension of Lilandra Redman, 20 years of age originally from Rochester, PA. Redman was wanted for child abduction – non-parental and luring a child from Woodstock, IL to Pennsylvania last month.
Redman met the 15-year-old victim online and had been in contact with the child for a few years. The two would use social media and apps to converse, as well as a disposable phone which Redman got to the victim via another student.
On August 3rd, Redman traveled to the child’s home in Illinois in an Uber in the early morning hours. The child left his parents a note stating that he traveled to New York City with a woman named Jessica. Furthermore, the victim factory reset his phone and left it behind in Illinois. The two headed back to Pennsylvania via plane and authorities located the victim on the evening of August 3rd in Beaver County at Redman’s address. However, Redman was not at the address.
On August 19th, police in McHenry, IL charged Redman. Police have been searching for Redman since to no avail. Recently, Allegheny County Sheriff’s Deputies began pursuing her and found Redman this evening shortly after 6:00 PM at a home in the 2900 block of Versailles Street in McKeesport. Upon apprehension without incident, Redman was transported to the Allegheny County Jail where she will await extradition to Illinois. Additionally, she was charged with fugitive from justice.
