PITTSBURGH, PA - This afternoon at 2:55 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the Hilltop Inn – Pittsburgh in Kennedy Township to attempt a PFA service when they were summoned by a female employee. She was running toward the Deputies claiming that a man attempted to rape her. Deputies immediately went to the room described by the victim as that of which the assault took place. While a man answered the door, Deputies could see suspected crack cocaine and marijuana in plain view. Maurice Ebore, 39 years of age from McKeesport, was identified by the victim after he was detained by Sheriff’s Deputies. Ebore was taken into custody and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
It should be noted that Ebore was not the defendant on the PFA service, which deputies were there to serve.
Due to the suspected drugs in plain sight, Sheriff’s Deputies applied for and were granted a search warrant to examine the room which Ebore had occupied. After combing the room, Sheriff’s Deputies recovered suspected crack cocaine and marijuana.
Ebore awaits arraignment on accusations from today’s incident and results yielded by the search warrant. He is facing charges of indecent assault (2), unlawful restraint, possession with intent to deliver (2), possession of small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
