At PEAKURBAN we are always looking for smarter and better ways to do things for our clients in order to improve accuracy, minimise risk, speed up approvals and deliver projects to schedule and budget.
 
In this newsletter, we launch PEAK AI – a new business that provides AI solutions to the engineering and construction industry. PEAK AI is designed to do more with less and improve the execution of routine tasks so that our engineers can spend more time working face to face with our clients on high value, high risk activities such as contract administration, site inspections, design optimisation and due diligence work. Launching PEAK AI

The engineering and construction industry is at the cusp of a new era, with new applications and tools that change how companies design, plan and execute projects.
 
At PEAKURBAN we are always trying to maximise the value and improve the level of service we offer to our clients. Quite often this involves developing smarter infrastructure solutions that result in more developable land and lower constructions costs. Increasingly though, value is created when ‘back of house’ functions are streamlined, efficient and optimised. When this happens development cost estimates are more accurate, approvals are delivered faster, projects run to schedule and budget and on maintenance achieved earlier.
 
To help create and drive greater value for our clients, we have teamed up with Blackbook Ai to create a new business named PEAK Ai - a niche business that provides AI solutions to the engineering and construction industry. PEAK Ai blends the technical engineering capabilities of PEAKURBAN and the programming and AI coding capabilities of Blackbook.

Welcome Drew Barrimore - Civil Engineer

We welcome Drew Barrimore to the PEAKURBAN team.  Drew is a Civil Engineer based in our Brisbane office. Drew brings with him 8 years’ experience working on numerous development and infrastructure projects in both the public and private sectors.  He has a strong background in construction and will be a great asset to the team.

Changes to Unitywater Fees and Charges

Unitywater have changed their Development Services fees and charges for connections approvals and network works approvals.  These new fees reflect their A&C system and are effective from 8 April 2019.  You can view the new fee schedule here.

Pebble Creek, South Maclean.
It's great to see works underway at Orchard Property Group’s latest development – Pebble Creek at South Maclean.
 
CCA Winslow are making good progress on key project elements including Mountain Ridge Road, earthworks and bridgeworks over Flagstone Creek. Civil works commenced on site in January 2019 and plan sealing of the first stages is anticipated in October 2019.
 
PEAKURBAN’s Project Manager Troy Schultz said:  ‘It is great to see the project come to fruition. There were many complex elements to consider through detailed design and into construction, especially negotiating approvals and specifically, what works were in and outside of the PDA. It has been a pleasure to work with such a great client, consultant team and various stakeholders. We look forward to continuing to assist Orchard in delivering their vision for the project.’
 
When finished Pebble Creek will yield 650 lots with an end value in excess of $120m.
