2018 has started off well. Many clients are telling us that sales have held firm over the Xmas break and demand for residential land remains strong. The real and ongoing challenge of finding new sites and opportunities continues to be a major problem in refilling or building future project pipelines.
Whilst we’ve had some success working with landowners and helping clients secure projects and approvals, it’s very clear that there aren’t any easy projects left. One particular issue that keeps arising is that of Legal Point of Discharge (LPOD) and needing easements or downstream discharge consent to achieve it. Many Councils interpret LPOD requirements differently which is a challenge in itself.
