I hope you are enjoying the holiday season. Will you be traveling or staying close to home?

Growing up in Alaska, during Christmas vacation I often traveled with my parents and grandmother to warmer climates. Some of my most colorful memories come from hiking and swimming in places like Hawaii, Australia, Palau, and Tanzania. These influences are often reflected in my art.

As 2019 comes to an end, I am very appreciative of your support. Thank you for a year filled with shows, sales, and new art.

New Art and Quote of the Month

Throughout the year in Alaska, I spent a lot of time looking at and exploring glaciers. The complex ice structures always fascinated me. This is reflected in a new artwork of mine: Crystalline (shown above).

After our glacier trips in the winter, we would come back to the cabin and warm up in front of the wood stove fire. Do you see that in Fire and Ice (shown above)?

The holiday season is a great time for memories, isn't it? Dr. Seuss got it right when he said: "Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory."
