New Show, New Art and Quote of the Month.
I am excited to have three paintings selected for the 2019 Solstice Festival Art Show. The theme of this year's Solstice Parade is: WONDER! All of the selected art will be on display beginning this Thursday (March 7) between 5:30 and 7:30 pm at Distinctive Art and Framing (1333 State Street). The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite work. One of my pieces, Dreamscape, is shown above. I hope to see you there!
Last month, as rain nurtured growth here, I created the painting Within Spring. It represents the intersections of water, roots, soil, growth, and hope. What do you think about it? I have also just started experimenting with metallic acrylics, and look forward to sharing some pieces with you in my next newsletter.
Now for my quote of the month, which is by Williams Butler Yeats and is about growth: "Happiness is neither virtue nor pleasure nor this thing nor that but simply growth. We are happy when we are growing." Thank you for reading my newsletter and for supporting original contemporary abstract art. I appreciate growing with you in art and life.
As always, I look forward to hearing from you.
Warm Regards,
Andrew
