Following the Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence recommendations, Monash Gender and Family Violence researchers are currently exploring experiences of Adolescent Family Violence with Monash colleagues in Medicine. Read our Conversation piece from 6 July 2017 ‘Long ignored, adolescent family violence needs our attention‘ outlining emerging findings.
If you have experienced Adolescent Family Violence, consider contributing to our anonymous open survey.
We are very pleased that our foundational piece, 'Criminology, gender and security in the Australian context: Making women’s lives matter' has been published online in Theoretical Criminology. A collaboratively authored piece (Sandra Walklate, Jude McCulloch, Kate Fitz-Gibbon, JaneMaree Maher) this article examines what it would mean to address the risk of family violence with the same resources and intensity that we address the risk of public terrorism.
