Congratulations to the winners of the 2017 Performance Awards! The performance awards recognize Thoroughbreds accumulating the most points at all horse shows in each of the award categories and divisions throughout the year.
The 2017 awards represent 562 Thoroughbreds competing in more than 11,000 classes and divisions. Winners will receive ribbons, prize money and a variety of prizes, including sheets, saddle pads, bridle bags, duffle bags and jackets.
Performance awards will be available once again in 2018 and will be based on results in shows from December 1, 2017, through November 30, 2018. The deadline for submissions is December 20, 2018. NEW FOR 2018 - You must submit verification of results with the award forms. Featured T.I.P. Youth Ambassador: Katie Kalfayan
Katie, 15, is from New Jersey. Katie leases her Thoroughbred, Norm. Together they participate in hunters, jumpers, and dressage. Katie is having a great time representing T.I.P. and the Thoroughbred breed as a Youth Ambassador. In March, she competed in the New Jersey State 4H Equine Presentations, giving a speech on Thoroughbreds and T.I.P. She placed second in her division and shared with T.I.P. that this experience “was so rewarding to share a topic I love so much”.

????? FAQ of the Month ?????
Do I have to win a T.I.P. class or division to qualify for the Championships? Do I have to participate in a T.I.P. Division?
Nope! To qualify for the 2018 Championships, a Thoroughbred must participate in a show offering T.I.P. high point awards, classes or divisions in the applicable discipline beginning August 1, 2017 through July 31, 2018. Horses can be shown in any Hunter, Jumper, Western or English Pleasure classes or divisions or any Dressage or Western Dressage classes at the show offering T.I.P. awards. Horses shown at a horse trial or combined test may also qualify for the Championships through their show jumping or dressage phase (as applicable).
