I would take this mentality a step further, and venture to say that most successful, ambitious professionals will take steps outside their comfort zone faster than those who are merely average. So, before you spend another month learning, how can you start actually doing?

I've seen a number of early stage startups touring the benefits of their "AI-powered" software only to be severely disappointed when I dig in to learn more. Machine Learning is a buzz phrase that attracts investors and customers, so learn to spot the real applications from the snake oil.
It's getting easier to work remote these days, plus "surging costs and inequality in [large coastal cities] may be shaping the beginnings of a shift in talent to other parts of the country."
