National Opposition to Hate, Assault, and Threats to Equality (NO HATE) ACT - to strengthen federal laws that combat hate speech, threats, and attacks. Introduced by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA-8)

04.pngOver 100 Former Officials Sign Letter Opposing Trump’s Executive Order: 134 Republican and Democrat cabinet Secretaries, senior government officials, diplomats, military service members, and intelligence community professionals expressed their concern over the travel ban. Included Sec. Madeleine Albright and national security advisor Susan Rice.

05.pngSenators Warn White House about Catastrophic Consequences of Executive Order -  Eight Democratic senators sent an open letter to the White House, stating that the Muslim Ban 2.0 “is an unrealistic and unworkable approach to handling refugee resettlement”, as it fails to account for the rigorous vetting process refugees undergo or the Iraqis who have assisted the U.S. and enter through this process.

  1. On Hawaii Court Ruling: “Another blow to the president’s unconstitutional Muslim Ban. President Trump during the campaign made clear his intention to impose a Muslim ban[...]Every time our country has targeted a minority group for discriminatory treatment, we have been very wrong, and this administration’s actions are no different” Sen. Mazie K. Hirono (D-HI).  Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA-6) "[Goodlatte] supports President Trump's executive orders to secure the border, enforce immigration laws and protect our nation."
  2.
