The Confederation for Working Equitation is a Federal nonprofit.  It is the unified governing body for the development and further promotion of working equitation in the United States.

We are excited to announce that we have implemented a number of great programs for our members, which will also help grow working equitation in the USA!

At the Confederation, we are here to help.  Please feel free to contact us via our leadership contacts on our website, at or give our Executive Director, Tarrin Warren a call at: (512) 269-9270.  We are always happy to hear from our members!
The Confederation has a comprehensive
Judge and Technical Delegate Licensing Program.

Please check out the rules for our programs and judges requirements on our webpage. In March, the Confederation held a judge and technical delegate seminar, taught by three of our top judges. Attendees were given a comprehensive course on judging Working Equitation under the US rules during 3 days of classroom sessions with PowerPoint presentations. Practical experience included evaluation of rides during an “A” rated show held in conjunction with the seminar. Attendees had the opportunity to practice judging Children’s level through Master’s level.

Randy Byers with WE University brought a huge data base of videos for the Confederation to use for teaching the judge's seminar. The ability to view videos of hundreds of rides and play them in slow motion was an incredible tool for developing the eye of the attendees. Thank You Randy!
The photo below captures the first set of Judge's candidates to come through our program (missing from the photo is Cindy Branham).
Congratulations to everyone who participated!

The Confederation needs and wants your help!
We have a fantastic volunteer program, which is making our rapid development possible. Please consider volunteering.
With such a large membership, we have events almost every weekend throughout the United States. Having a unified set of rules and dressage tests has been beneficial for the competitors in the United States.  Our next major rules revision will not happen until the 2018 show year, but if you have any suggestions, please consider filling out the form found on this page: appendix F: Rule Change Proposal Form
The Confederation is an alliance partner with USEF.
There are over 400 horses recorded with the Confederation
The exponential growth of the sport and the Confederation in the USA has been stunning.  To record your horse, click here.

The Confederation is continuing to foster the development of working equitation in the United States.  Our plan is to begin development of a national team in 2018.

The Confederation is changing the face of working equitation in North America and this has been an unprecedented period of growth and development.  We couldn't have done it without so many people being involved and being supportive.

Thank you from all of us at the Confederation!
