Dear Friends-
This week we'll welcome in the dark and celebrate the coming light, as Solstice approaches.
We'll open with a couple of songs especially for young people, so invite your children, grandchildren, young friends, and young at heart. In other words- EVERYONE!

This past Thursday, we acknowledged that truth, science, and facts have taken a beating these past four years. Our response? We sang powerful songs of truth, courage, and what we believe in- singing truth to and about power. OUR POWER!

Favorite election yard sign: "Make Lying Wrong Again"

The theme inspired me to write a new song to the tune of "The Battle Hymn of The Republic. It's based on one of my favorite little aphorisms: The truth will set you free, but first it puts you through the wringer. You can hear it on the video of the evening, posted here.
 
We also were inspired by a wonderful short video of my recent conversation with Catherine Wanjohi from Lifebloom Services in Kenya, about their project to supply girls 12-18 with free sanitary supplies. You can see and hear my interview with Catherine about the project right here!

 Join in singing old and new songs of the season and songs of peace, hope, and light. People of all ages, voices, and traditions are invited to sing along. This is the 22nd annual FREE community Solstice event – this year by Zoom (different but still joyful!)
