"Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord's message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you." 2 Thessalonians 3:1

I remember when the Lord's message came to me. I was a teenager in Southern California and accepted an invitation I thought was for a party.  My best friend took me to a church in Costa Mesa that was opening its doors to the young.  I accepted Jesus as my Savior that night and my life has never been the same.  I was faithful for about a year and then backslid for ten.  God was always faithful and by teaching me about grace I came back.  I returned, and embarrassed.  But..."Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" and I am the worst of them all.  But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners.  Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in Him and receive eternal life.  All honor and glory to God forever and ever!"  1 Timothy 1:15-17

We need a new awakening among our youth.  We need to pray for truth to win out over the lies being fed to them.  We need to open our doors and make room for the Lord's message to be delivered to each one the Lord brings our way even the hard ones like me.

Lord, Help us to focus on You!  Help us Lord, to teach this generation about your grace and forgiveness.  Open their eyes so they can see Jesus.  Open their ears Father, to hear you calling them and prepare their hearts to receive your Holy Spirit and be saved. Amen
We want you to know that you are an important part of the Faith Family! As grandparents, you act as a source of encouragement, support, wisdom, and unconditional love for our students. It is our desire to encourage you and connect with you further through this prayer ministry. These weekly emails will be written by a couple who have been faithful members of this school for decades, Jim and Sue Venters. We hope that through this brief devotional and shared prayers, the grandparents of FCS students will form a community in Christ, joining together in the shepherding of our beloved children and grandchildren.
