This Friday is our first spirit day, Crazy Hat Day! Students who wish to participate may wear a silly hat with their regular uniforms. These hats should be extra silly, not just a ball cap. Our new Friday Dress Code states that if they do not receive any dress code violations this week, they can also wear jeans on Fridays. Bring on the crazy hats! 
For new and returning families: Please log on to FACTS Family Portal, choose Web Forms and then Family Demographic Form. Please review and update your information. All fields are required to be filled out. Take special note of the Medical, Emergency Contact, and Transportation Fields. You will also want to indicate your preference on the Photo Release Permission.

If you haven't already, make sure you read the
2021-2022 Parent Student Handbook. Each family will need to sign this acknowledgement that they have done so.

For new families: If you haven't already done so, please be sure we have a copy of your child's Birth Certificate and Immunization Records or Signed Waiver. Again, all of these forms, whether dropped off or submitted online, must be on file for your child in the office
Included in your orientation materials was the 2021-2022 Financial Agreement which is required for all families, new and returning. Please sign and return that this week if you haven't already done so. 
The Scrip Program is a great way for families to earn money toward their tuition/fees by purchasing gift cards to use for their shopping and gift giving needs.  Cards can be purchased in the office or ordered on your computer or phone.  

Plastic gift card orders will be placed on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month and the cards should arrive by Friday of the same week.  Go to 
ShopWithScrip.com to place your next plastic card order by 7pm tonight.

E-cards and plastic card reloads may be purchased anytime using the RaiseRight phone app.

Auditions for our Fall production of Seussical the Musical begin this week!

Junior High and High School: Wednesday and Thursday (7:30-8:10). Students are excused from drama class on these days except to come and audition. On the day of their audition, they should be there at least 10 minutes before their scheduled time. A signup for times has already been sent around. Students are asked to prepare a one-minute monologue and a song of their choice. Students may wish to read the
role descriptions attached and choose a musical theater song that highlights their voice for the part they want. They were also encouraged to bring their phone or device with a karaoke track or music they can sing along to. 

Elementary (grades 3-6): Friday (7:30-8:10). Please come to the outer door of the 3rd grade room (right off the lunch area--the door will be propped. Students will be asked to share a short recited monologue, Bible verse, speech, poem, or something that shows their ability to memorize and recite lines with expression. They should also prepare a song to sing either with music or without. If your child wants to sing from a track on YouTube, send Mrs. Allen a link and she will play it on her phone for your child's audition. After everyone auditions, students will be taken to the elementary drop off area to join their class. Once the show has been cast, a schedule for elementary students will be created and shared. It will likely be 2-3 days a week during the JH/HS drama class at 7:30. 

The performance dates for the show are Friday, November 19th and Saturday, November 20th.

Sports practices start this afternoon and will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3-5 p.m.

Soccer practice will be held on campus. Soccer players will need to be picked up on campus when practice ends at 5pm.

Volleyball practice will be at the LA Fitness at Power and McDowell (2605 N Power Rd, Mesa, AZ 85215). Volleyball players will need to be picked up from LA Fitness when practice ends at 5pm. 

If any families have children in both soccer and volleyball, please plan to pick up your soccer player(s) about 10 minutes early in order to be at LA Fitness promptly at 5. 
JH/HS students have until the end of the week to request a change in their class schedule from Mrs. Smith.
7th and 8th grade students are looking forward to our Junior High Getaway at Tonto Rim Christian Camp in Payson in just a couple of weeks! Please take a look at this information packet and be sure to follow the link to sign the waiver from the camp. Here are instructions on how to access the camp's waiver website. 

The cost is $60. If that is a hardship, let us know and we will see if partial scholarships are available. 
Our 9th-12th grade students can't wait to leave for the High School Retreat at UCYC Christian Camp in Prescott in just a few weeks! Please take a look at this information packet with attached permission slip which must be signed and notarized. This waiver from the camp also needs to be completed and returned. 

The cost is $200. If that is a hardship, let us know and we will see if partial scholarships are available. 
Hot lunches are available Monday-Thursday and can be ordered online through your FACTS Family Portal. Learn more at our Lunch Program page

We do have microwaves available for students to reheat their lunches. Please be sure to send utensils, plates and napkins for any lunch brought from home. These things are not provided by the school. Also, please do not send foods that use water to cook or require more than a minute or two at the most to reheat. Consider sending soup or other hot food in a thermos.
