We are so fortunate to have the CEO of the National Diaper Bank Network, Joanne Goldblum, joining us at our February GMM for a discussion on diaper need. We are so excited to have Joanne come speak with us and we hope that many of you can make it.

FEBRUARY GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

GMM: February General Membership Meeting
Date: Tuesday, February 11th
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m
Location: JLCV HQ 3060 Williston Road Suite 4

National Diaper Bank Network CEO Joanne Goldblum will join us at a special GMM to learn about and discuss diaper need, advocacy networks and how to become involved in serving the most vulnerable members in our communities. All current and interested members may attend. Special guests have also been invited. There is a social gathering with refreshments for the first 30 minutes with the presentation to follow beginning at 6:30 pm.

All current officers and committee chairs should have received an email on February 1 from treasurer@jlcv.org outlining the FY 2021 Budget Process. A copy of the FY 2021 budget memo and budget worksheet are also available in the Google Drive for reference. Budget submissions are due to Jenn Papillo for consideration by the Finance Committee and Board no later than March 10. A proposed budget will be presented at the April GMM for formal vote. Please contact Jenn with any questions or concerns.

Retro Night: Making Diaper Need a Thing of the Past
to benefit the Junior League of Champlain Valley

Grab a friend and enjoy a retro-themed night of snacks, drinks, and dancing to benefit the Junior League of Champlain Valley. Enjoy a cash bar and light fare, silent auction, and raffle. Creative retro attire is encouraged.

Dance the night away to '80s, '90s, and '00s live music by The Tricksters.

Spend a night out with friends and family and support the League! Panera Bread will generously donate 20% of proceeds from purchases made (when presenting the event flyer) during the event to the JLCV.

DIAPER BANK UPDATE

Hello from Diaper Bank Land!

We are so excited for the visit by National Diaper Bank Network CEO Joanne Goldblum to our February GMM on the 11th -- we hope many of you can come. We've invited many outside guests and hope that we'll get a good turnout. In addition, this week we're due to get some additional shelving installed down the middle of the warehouse space which will allow us to hold more diapers and further organize things. We still have a number of pallets being stored off-site from our various donations -- a great problem to have!

Last week Monica McFarland brought in two volunteer groups from Magic Hat and all told they contributed about 40 hours and repackaged almost 16,000 diapers -- super amazing! A huge thank you to Magic Hat and Monica.

Early Childhood Day at the legislature will take place on March 11th and we'll be tabling at the statehouse to raise awareness about diaper need and our bank. If you're able to, come by for a few hours we'd love the additional friendly knowledgeable faces at our table.
