Executive Coach Biography: Susan M. Palmer, PCC
Susan Palmer serves an international clientele of individuals and organizations dedicated to elevating their leadership agility, creativity and effectiveness in complex environments. Since 2009, Susan has worked with scores of non-profit, higher education, public sector and socially-conscious for-profit leaders in over a dozen countries.
Prior to establishing her leadership coaching, training and consulting practice, Susan was the Dean of Woodbury College (Montpelier, Vermont) and held various other administrative and teaching positions at Woodbury and at Goddard College. Before she made the career shift to higher education, Susan was a Vermont Assistant Attorney General in Consumer Protection and a Poverty Law Project attorney at Vermont Legal Aid. Susan became a professional coach when she completed her graduate-level certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership in Washington, D.C.
Susan holds a J.D. from Cornell Law School, a Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Vermont, where she was a Graduate Teaching Fellow, and a B.A. from Middlebury College. Susan lives in Montpelier with her artist husband, Chris Jeffrey, and their rescue dog, Ella.
