Spring is coming... and so is our fundraiser! Don't forget to buy tickets to our fundraising event on April 4th "Retro Night: Making Diaper Need a Thing of the Past" and come ready to have a good time! There will be a great band playing music from the '80s, '90s, and '00s and amazing raffle items.

In March we have a great opportunity to do some advocacy work--tabling at the Statehouse for the 26th annual Early Childhood Day. We are looking for folks to man our table for a few hours or to attend the Rally for Kids. Don't forget that we have a guest trainer, Dr. Lance Smith, coming to discuss diversity and inclusion, specifically related to socioeconomic status at our March GMM!
See you all soon!

Best,
Nicole

PURCHASING & REIMBURSEMENT
Members are reminded that all purchases on behalf of the League should be made in the most economical way possible, including by providing the vendor with Form S-3 for Vermont sales tax exemption.  JLCV has preferred vendor accounts established with Amazon.com, Shutterfly, UPrinting.com, VistaPrint, and Staples, to allow for tax exempt purchasing at non-profit business rates.

Please contact Jenn Papillo for assistance with making purchases through these vendors, or complete a Preferred Vendor Purchase Request.  When seeking reimbursement, you must complete an Expense Reimbusement Form.  Sales tax will not be approved for reimbursement.

DIAPER BANK UPDATE
Thanks to all who attended what proved to be an incredibly informative and interesting talk by National Diaper Bank Network CEO Joanne Goldblum. We had a few great outside guests who also found it valuable and I look forward to following up with them and continuing to brainstorm about ways to alleviate diaper need statewide in Vermont.

Our next big event is Wednesday March 11th when we'll be tabling at the statehouse for the 26th Annual Early Childhood Day at the Legislature organized by the Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance . If you think you can attend for an hour or two to man the table or attend the Rally for Kids (from 1:15-1:45 p.m.) please email Amanda and we'll coordinate timing.

We have a few repackagings to go this year and will hope to have all of our summer needs taken care of by May so we can essentially take the summer off from operations. This week, the donor who had previously given us the shelving will be back to install one more --after that (hopefully Thursday) we will be able to accept more pallets of diapers from the NDBN donation which the Vermont FoodBank has been GENEROUSLY holding for us.
