ANNOUNCING The Second International Psychosynthesis Coaching Symposium - Connecting the Psychosynthesis Coaching Community

Following on from the great success of last year’s inaugural psychosynthesis coaching symposium (see feedback below), we are now organising our second symposium which will take place on Wednesday 6th November in central London.
The overall context for the day is ‘Connecting the Psychosynthesis Coaching Community’ and within that we are highlighting three themes:
Taking psychosynthesis out into the world – how to take it into organisations and society in support of leaders responding to the emergent crisis
New ways of working with psychosynthesis in coaching – wide variety of sessions focusing on different ways to draw upon psychosynthesis in your coaching practice
Introducing psychosynthesis coaching – a series of sessions for those new to psychosynthesis, introducing this psycho-spiritual psychology, exploring how it enables us to ‘coach the being’ and providing an overview of the PGCPLC course with Q&A.
There will be keynote and plenary sessions with the whole group to start and end the day, with three breakout workshop sessions of 1.5 hours which will each include one or more options from the above three streams or themes.  Participants can stick with the same theme or move between them.
An additional context is that this symposium will be International, or at least European.  Our partners from Italy, led by Alessandra Moretti are offering one or two sessions, including ‘working on the will with the psychological functions’, material which is new to teaching in the UK. We are hoping that Petra Guggisberg (Switzerland) will give a keynote address and that Kenneth Sorensen (Denmark) will run a session on JivaYou, the profiling tool based upon Assagioli’s seven personality types.  From the UK, we are hoping that Anne Welsh, Roger Evans and Joan Evans will all run sessions.
We are in the process of finalising the sessions and also the venue and will send out full details with a link to the Eventbrite booking page as soon as possible.  The price for the day will be the same as last year: £100+VAT or £80+VAT with the early bird discount.
What participants said about the last symposium:

A rich day of inspiration, challenge, inspiration and good heart.
A wonderful day - good way to spend my time - recharge and reunion. Thanks
I enjoyed the opportunity to connect with other coaches and psychosynthesis therapists while learning new tools, which I can include in my practice with clients.
Such a rich and multi-layered day. For me it bridged the gap between the ground and the spirit. Left brain, Right brain. Masculine Feminine. It was a synthesis of the both and. Thank you
The psychosynthesis community is the best demonstration of moment building I have witnessed and the success of today pays testament to that
A rich mind and heart opening day. Thank you. And I see this as a milestone and acknowledgement of the quality work you've devoted yourselves to
Left the day inspired by what I learned. The contributions in the room were insightful and left me with a lot of food for thought
If our ultimate purpose is to be here in the world, then this symposium is a fabulous reinforcement of that being - something we all need if our species is to go on being?!
Fantastic start, loving this growing community - lots of unconscious connections - Thank you!
Would like to see this as an annual event

A fantastic experience that I will never forget… the authenticity of Paul and Aubyn really elevated the course to a level I have never before experienced with a face-to-face course. NH

I felt the course involved a wonderful synthesis of personal, systemic and spiritual work which was constantly grounded in the day-to-day challenges of coaching and organisational life. Inspiring but also deeply practical. PS

This course is so well structured that it ensures everyone gets what they came on it for and much more.  The depth and breadth of content is breath-taking…NL

This course was a life changing experience for me… the learning has supported me in making step changes in my role as a CEO and enabled me to confidently practice as a leadership coach. TD

This course is a powerful combination of theory and experience that has deepened my understanding of self and improved the quality of my coaching.
I am more grounded and confident in my ability to work with individuals at depth to support the transformation of leaders and organisations. RL

Expect to be on a deep personal journey, as well as a professional one.  LS

It has given me a solid framework in which to couch my coaching practice and I also feel liberated to follow my intuition as I continue to work on myself and with my clients. NL

It is offering something extremely valuable to coaches, therapists, their clients, business and society as a whole. DM

Paul and Aubyn you are a great team, a perfect balance - your sincerity, passion, knowledge and understanding are truly inspirational. JG

The next EFPP summer school is taking place 21-25 August 2019 in the Netherlands: The Power of Synthesis in Times of Polarisation
 – Please visit the Summer School website for full details.

We are living in times of polarisation and conflicts between different groups and cultures.

In Psychosynthesis we work with the idea of Synthesis. Could this contribute to a world where differences are accepted or even celebrated? Could we help to invoke a change in perception so diversity may become an asset instead of a threat?

Aubyn's seminar series at the EFPP Summer School

Aubyn will work with the group to build an understanding of evolutionary principles and developmental thinking (e.g. Wilber, Graves, Laloux, Keegan, Torbert, etc.) and show how this combines with psychosynthesis to help practitioners support the health of the evolutionary spiral at different levels in their work, e.g. for themselves, for their clients and client systems.

This seminar addresses the pressing need to learn how to transcend the dichotomous nature of evolution and resolve conflicts between different worldviews to create healthy systems.

Including leadership at all levels – of self, families, communities, organisations and society, we explore how psychosynthesis practitioners can work with leaders to develop the critical capacities needed to navigate the emergent crises we face.

Key topics:

  • Understanding the nature of today‟s crisis (in society and of leadership)
  • Engaging with the principles, shape and pattern of evolution
  • Combining developmental thinking with psychosynthesis (the egg meets the spiral)
  • Exploring ways of working at each level to create synthesis
  • Developing leaders who can sense and respond to the crisis
  • Ways of developing the critical capacities of systemic awareness and action
  • Bringing free will back to centre stage
