FELLOW VETERANS AND STONERS

We have a five time draft dodger and white nationalist in the white house. Joe Biden needs 65% of the black vote to beat Trump, however Biden continues to disrespect Black Americans with his "GOOD OLE BOY" style of white national rhetoric. Biden continues to be the only road block to nationwide cannabis legalization. Every former presidential candidate that endorsed Biden also endorsed legalizing cannabis if elected President.

Keith Stroup and Norml have been working gallantly since 1970 (50 years) to legalize cannabis nationwide only to be stopped by the DNC.

BIDEN is the reason why the state of Alabama sentenced our disabled brother and purple heart recipient to five years in one of the most notorious prisons in Alabama. He suffers from Traumatic Brain injury due to his Military Service in Iraq. He lost his job due to his arrest in Alabama and has lost his home as a result. This is a clear case of Prosecution overstep and it is in the President's power to make a full pardon. This goes beyond any politics. He served his Country and now it is our duty to help him.

Michael Thompson, Nonviolent Cannabis Prisoner, Hospitalized With COVID-19

Mon / Aug 3rd

by Graham Abbott

Michael Thompson, a nonviolent drug offender who is currently serving a prison sentence of 40-60 years for selling cannabis, has been hospitalized with COVID-19.

Cannabis prisoner Michael Thompson, who is serving 40-60 years in a Michigan prison for selling cannabis, has been reportedly hospitalized with the coronavirus. Cannabis and prison reform advocates called for his release earlier this year when the virus first started spreading through the U.S. prison system but Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who could have ordered his early release from prison, failed to take action.

Now, Thompson — a 69-year-old and diabetic nonviolent cannabis offender — is face-to-face with the frequently fatal virus.

As the country struggles to come to grips with the murder of George Floyd and countless other black and brown people who never deserved such a terrible fate, many people and organizations are taking a look at their sphere of influence in impacting change. At Arcview, we’ve identified our work at the intersection of cannabis and business as the area in which we can have the biggest impact.
The war on drugs has played a big role in creating many of the conditions in which these tragedies occur. It disproportionately impacts the black community. Cannabis criminalization and enforcement have been a major tool in the arsenal of those who oppress and disenfranchise this community. Cannabis is still one of the most common excuses for police interactions.
The Arcview Group was founded 10 years ago on the principle that business can be one of the most powerful platforms for social change. Over the years, Arcview has raised millions of dollars to end the racist prohibition of cannabis in the United States and abroad with the goal of creating a world in which no adult is ever prosecuted for their use of the plant. Our co-founder Troy Dayton is chair of the board of the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP), a cofounder of Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP), and a founding board member of the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA). Co-founder Steve DeAngelo helped found both NCIA and the Last Prisoner Project. David Abernathy, our Vice President of Research & Consulting, serves on the board of the Minority Cannabis Business Association. In conjunction with advocates and activists, these many years of effort have started to bear fruit but there remains a lot of work to be done.
Even as prohibitions of cannabis are lifted in state after state, racist policing continues to destroy the social fabric of communities of color. At the same time, as cannabis becomes more mainstream, the kinds of networks of privilege that exist in other industries are being mirrored in the cannabis industry.
People who are white, wealthy, well educated, or who have not been subjected to the kind of discriminatory policing experienced by so many people of color, have an advantage when it comes to entering the newly legal cannabis space. They often have access to more resources, personal networks, funding, and a completely different legal risk assessment than people of color..
It is for these reasons that we commit to doing the work necessary to ensure that both space and opportunity exists for communities of color in this rapidly growing and evolving market. Arcview remains committed to creating a free, fair, and just cannabis industry in which all people have opportunities to succeed and thrive. It is for this reason that we are redoubling our efforts to make sure that our resources, knowledge, expertise, and network are available to entrepreneurs of color.

Today Arcview is making 5 commitments to support racial justice:

Not since the Civil War have actions meant more than words.

Such is the pivotal nature of political and societal change that we are now confronted with. Trump is very likely headed for political oblivion come November, yet we think that Biden and the DNC are still languishing in the 1970s.

As you know, over 75% of the country favor the legalization of marijuana. That is an overwhelmingly positive figure of approval. Yet Biden and the DNC are clearly in a time-capsule bubble, choosing again to kick the same issue into the long grass and, laughably, hope the electorate fail to see this travesty.

In light of that, we absolutely know that you have to be furious with how the Democrats have again demurred on this critical issue. As you know marijuana, crypto, travel, big tech and Universal Basic Income (UBI) have the very real power to change the world, it's time for the birth of TRAVEL IN PEACE UBI POLITICAL PARTY (TIP) and SMOKE IN PEACE NATION, no more words, kill the lobbyists, it's time to DECLARE WAR. Tipnation.NYC seeks to disrupt both travel and politics by making them one in the same through redirection of travel dollars from companies and places that stand in the way of progress to people and places that foster it.

Technology and the pandemic has already disrupted both travel and politics—we want to take that to the next level together.

The travel side of our business is known collectively as Travel in Peace (TIP) Nation. This is our platform for building, managing and growing shared economy communities that support our mission to travel in peace. In these communities around the world, we’re creating political action committees and finding  pro ubi candidates to fight anti-BnB and anti-tourism legislation. We’re also providing economic opportunity through TIPBnB, TIPcruise and TIPtours.

Each community will have hosts and tour guides to effectively manage each destination, strengthen our brand and support small locally owned businesses, including independently owned hotels (via TIPhotel)

We’ve created tribes based on race, ethnicity and gender  (AfroBnB and WomenunitedBnB) and three divisions

(VETBnB, SubwaysBnB, and SmokeinpeaceBnB) to completely disrupt and takeover lucrative low-hanging niches in the travel industry. SmokeinpeaceBnB will enjoy a first-movers advantage in the cannabis tourism marketplace. Each BnB tribe and division will have a sister tour company and receive support from our affiliated services

At the heart of Travel in Peace Nation is a political movement rooted is Social Tourism. Social tourism is the extension of tourism benefits to disadvantaged people who otherwise could not afford to travel. Our version benefits both the traveler and the BnB host community.

We created AfroBnB to unite the Pan African Diaspora economically in the emerging $100+ billion shared economy and trillion-dollar travel industry, Post Corona Virus. We created TIP Political Party to be the Democrats’ counterpart to the Tea Party. Our mission is to take back the White House and dominate the U.S. and global travel industry.

We also chose this approach after we watched in amazement when the Democrats shut Airbnb out of the New York City market. Airbnb is facing legal challenges from multiple municipalities in the U.S. and globally, lawsuits funded by the hotel industry. With NYC politicians shutting down their operation in the world’s #1 tourist destination, forming a political party and supporting, funding and electing our own candidates will ensure our brand survives. We’ll bypass expensive lobbyists and lawyers and go right to the people

RESPECT BLACK UBI POLITICAL MOVEMENT

Marcus Garvey’s vision, MLK’s dream and Malcolm X’s analysis with universal basic income, re-imagined using the technology of today for lasting justice tomorrow.

Marcus Garvey:

“Every student of political science, every student of political economy, every student of economics, knows that the race can only be saved through a solid industrial foundation; that the race can only be saved through political independence. Take away industry from a race, take away political freedom from a race and you have a slave race.”

MLK:

“I am now convinced that the simplest approach will prove to be the most effective — the solution to poverty is to abolish it directly by a now widely discussed measure: the guaranteed income.

Malcolm X

“We won’t organize any black man to be a Democrat or a Republican because both of them have sold us out. Both of them have sold us out. Both parties are racist, and the Democratic Party is more racist than the Republican Party.”

“If elected, I pledge to introduce legislation that can be passed by the House, Senate and signed into law by the President in the first quarter of 2021 that transparently funds and guarantees a Universal Basic Income (UBI) for the citizens of the United States of America, at a rate which covers basic human needs in an effort to eliminate poverty, while building a robust national economy.”

Democrats Reject Marijuana Legalization In Party Platform

The document supports decriminalization but stops short of full legalization.

Democratic National Committee delegates voted 105-60 against including marijuana legalization in the party platform on Monday.

The draft version of the platform supports decriminalizing marijuana use and legalizing medical marijuana, adding that it should be left up to the states “to make their own decisions about recreational use.”

The platform was unlikely to ever endorse full legalization, since Joe Biden, the presumptive nominee, does not back the policy. He supports federal decriminalization, which would take away incarceration for possession.

But Dennis Obduskey, a delegate who introduced the legalization amendment during the meeting of the DNC’s platform committee, noted that the current document is a step back from the 2016 platform, which supported “providing a reasoned pathway for future legalization.”

Democrats Wimp Out on Federal Marijuana Legalization. Thanks, Joe Biden!

The party rejects a position shared by two-thirds of the country (but not its presidential nominee).

SCOTT SHACKFORD
It's 2020 and the leadership of the Democratic Party still cannot get it together on marijuana legalization, which two-thirds of Americans support.

According to Pew polling data, support for full legalization crossed the 50 percent threshold back in 2010 and has been growing ever since. Much like support for gay marriage recognition, this seems to be a permanent cultural shift in attitudes.

But unlike the Democratic Party's embrace of gay marriage, its leadership cannot seem to line up behind marijuana legalization, even as the Black Lives Matter and criminal justice reform movements highlight precisely how the drug war has led to the overpolicing and harassment of black communities.

A total of 33 states have legalized marijuana for medical use, 14 of which allow adults to legally use the drug for recreational use as of March 2020. These numbers are only possible because Keith Stroup and NORML have been working gallantly to reform marijuana laws since 1970.
Two-thirds of Americans say the use of marijuana should be legal, reflecting a steady increase over the past decade, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. The Prison Industry in the United States: Big Business or a New Form of Slavery?

There are approximately 2 million inmates in state, federal and private prisons throughout the country. According to California Prison Focus, “no other society in human history has imprisoned so many of its own citizens.”

The private contracting of prisoners for work fosters incentives to lock people up. Prisons depend on this income. Corporate stockholders who make money off prisoners’ work lobby for longer sentences, in order to expand their workforce. The system feeds itself,” says a study by the Progressive Labor Party, which accuses the prison industry of being “an imitation of Nazi Germany with respect to forced slave labor and concentration camps.”

Despite these numbers, Joe Biden and the DNC are STILL the roadblock to legalization nationwide. It's no secret that Biden is in bed with the prison industrial complex.
The prison industry complex is one of the fastest-growing industries in the United States and its investors are on Wall Street. “This multimillion-dollar industry has its own trade exhibitions, conventions, websites, and mail-order/Internet catalogs. It also has direct advertising campaigns, architecture companies, construction companies, investment houses on Wall Street, plumbing supply companies, food supply companies, armed security, and padded cells in a large variety of colors.”
JOE BIDEN HAS PRISON INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX CONNECTIONS
Joe Biden’s past includes a lot of things that we should have questions about. Writing the crime bill that scarred Black America forever and amped up mass incarceration is just one of the issues Joe has had to address and apologize for, but he has even more troubling connections.

Marijuana Legalization May Not Be A Blue Issue

In November of 2019, a Pew Research study revealed that 9 out of 10 Americans favor legalization of either medical or recreational/adult-use marijuana. As a political issue, the study found that a majority of Republicans – 55% - and a majority of Democrats – 78% - were in favor of legalization. American voters no longer believe marijuana should remain a criminalized, Schedule I substance. This is not shocking. The people have spoken, the money is flowing, and the globe keeps on spinning.

Many Republicans Are Perfectly Fine With Extra Unemployment Benefits Disappearing

WASHINGTON ― As Senate Republicans try to advance a coronavirus relief bill with only $200 a week in extra unemployment benefits ― down from the expiring $600 ― many House Republicans are signaling that they’re opposed to any extra money at all.

“Zero is the number for me,” Rep. Roger Williams (R-Texas) told HuffPost on Wednesday.

Andrew Yang: It's a 'ridiculous fantasy' to think America's economy will snap back to normal

By Matt Egan, CNN Business

Updated 12:52 PM ET, Mon July 27, 2020

New York (CNN Business)From grocery stores and factories to meatpacking plants and food delivery, the pandemic is turbocharging the rise of robots and automation, Andrew Yang tells CNN Business.

"We're seeing 10 years' worth of change in 10 weeks," the former Democratic presidential candidate said.

Companies, worried about coronavirus health risks, are accelerating their plans to use robots for some jobs long done by humans. It's just one of the ways coronavirus is changing the face of America's workforce and the debate over how to respond, including controversial proposals Yang has long championed.

Biden Faces Pressure From Left Over Influence Industry Ties

Many of his aides and close allies are veteran Washington hands who have profited from advising big corporations. The Sanders-Warren wing of the party is not happy.

WASHINGTON — It was one of the few issues on which President Barack Obama and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. disagreed — how far to go in limiting the influence of lobbyists in government.

The vice president privately complained that his boss’s effort to slam shut the revolving door between K Street and the administration would deprive it of experienced talent, and he bristled when Mr. Obama’s aides tried to block him from hiring a well-connected Washington operator who had lobbied for pharmaceutical and insurance companies, credit agencies and others.

Eight years later, that same confidant, Steve Ricchetti, is helping to run Mr. Biden’s presidential campaign. Also involved to varying degrees are other advisers, operatives, fund-raisers and allies with deep connections to Washington’s lucrative lobbying, communications and strategic consulting industry.

That puts Mr. Biden at odds with powerful elements of his party’s liberal base. Increasingly, they are expressing concern that the military contractors, Wall Street banks and other major corporations that paid members of Mr. Biden’s inner circle while they were out of government could hold disproportionate power in a Biden administration.

Organization type

Description

In politics, a political party is an organized group of people who have the same ideology, or who otherwise have the same political positions, and who field candidates for elections, in an attempt to get them elected and thereby implement the party's agenda. They are a defining element of representative democracy. Wikipedia
90 million millennials, 45 million African-Americans, 55 million Hispanics, 24 million cannabis users and 165 million women in the U.S. are engaging in our generation's culture war.  Unfortunately, many predict Trump will win in a landslide because the DNC is fighting a cyberwar using WWII and Biden's Tactics.
We ask you to join TIP Political Party while we're still in our infancy. Together, we can make history by bringing the various movements together into one real political powerhouse and send the DNC and America a message that it's no longer politics as usual.

Unlike the GOP and DNC, TIP Political Party does not accept contributions from lobbyists, corporations or individuals. We make our money the old fashion way—we earn it.  Fellow progressives and allies, before we wage war on our known enemies, we must STOMP BIDEN.

Amid a pandemic that has killed more than 649,000 worldwide, health experts are urging people to stay home and/or limit travel and maintain social distancing. But for many people, doing so means jeopardizing their income.

To that end, groups advocating payments to help people make ends meet and provide support to improve their long-term economic health say the COVID-19 pandemic has increased momentum.

Obama and Bezos Could Make Basic Income Work

This week, former U.S. President Barack Obama tentatively endorsed the idea of a universal basic income. The fortune of another American, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, reached $150 billion. Could Bezos and his peers make the UBI dream work?

“It’s not just money that a job provides,” Obama said in his Nelson Mandela Lecture in Johannesburg on Tuesday, after mentioning the threat new technology poses to jobs. “It provides dignity and structure and a sense of place and a sense of purpose. So we’re going to have to consider new ways of thinking about these problems, like a universal income, review of our workweek, how we retrain our young people, how we make everybody an entrepreneur at some level.”

Kamala Harris: $2,000 Monthly Stimulus Checks And Student Loan Forgiveness

Wesley Whistle Senior Contributor

Senator Kamala Harris is making the case for Congress to adopt her priorities for the next stimulus package, including $2,000 monthly stimulus checks and student loan forgiveness.

Last night, Harris—who is a top Democratic vice presidential contender—joined Joy Reid on her new show, The ReidOut, and pitched former Vice President Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” plan for economic recovery and racial equality. Harris specifically highlighted the part of his plan that includes broad $10,000 student loan forgiveness for borrowers with federal student loans due to the coronavirus.

We are declaring war on those whose economic privilege is deeply rooted in and build upon generational slavery and who make no effort to extend that privilege to those to whom it's owed. The thirteen original slave-holding confederate states must atone for their treason and sins against humanity. So we are boycotting them and redirecting their clients to places that support progressive causes.

Unlike the South African Apartheid Boycott, we’ll be able to re-direct our supporters directly into our tour channels. In addition, we’ll create reciprocal subway adventures in any major city globally that supports our travel boycott, helping their local economies post corona virus. Hurting Trump is incentive enough, but money adds tangible returns.

We will not allow Republicans voters to hide behind their elected officials without inflicting pain on their economy. #TrumpRedRonaTravelEmbargo

We can no longer wait years for government to step in. It took the entire world to stop the Holocaust and South African Apartheid. And now we need that global help again. With social media we are bypassing governmental bureaucracy.

Our plan isn’t limited to protests. We want a seat at the governing table. Within the first 100 days of the TIP Political Party administration, we’ll fund removal of every confederate statue and flag on federal or public lands. We’ll rename all streets and schools named after confederate soldiers and ensure textbooks have accurate information on slavery. No American military installation will honor the Confederacy.

In short, we’ll mirror what Germany did to eradicate Nazi history. There will be no compromising on ending the legacy of the Confederacy and Trump.

Let's show them that in 2020, travel bans are a two-way street.

87% of Democrats Support 'Medicare for All,' Though Joe Biden Doesn't

BY  ON 8/4/20

Democrats overwhelmingly threw their support behind "Medicare for All," according to data released Tuesday from a Hill-HarrisX poll.

Increasing support for the national health insurance program may be linked to the coronavirus pandemic. Many businesses have closed permanently, leaving their former employees with no employment-based coverage. Medicare for All, which would create a nationwide single-payer health insurance plan for all Americans, was the cornerstone of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders' suspended presidential campaign. Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has not embraced the Medicare for All platform although many of Biden's potential voters support the program.

Democrats blocked an attempt to include "Medicare for all" in the party's 2020 draft platform.

The Democratic National Committee's platform panel met virtually on Monday to discuss whether the party should incorporate language endorsing Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders's signature policy in its message to voters before the November general elections.

"If this amendment is controversial, it is due to the distorted hundreds of millions of dollars in lobbying, and political contributions, and political ads that the health insurance industry has put forth," Sanders delegate Michael Lightly said.

High-profile Sanders supporter Abdul El Sayed echoed Lightly, urging his colleagues to "meet this moment" amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

We support Andrew Yang. His idea for a Universal Basic Income is integral to our future in an increasingly automated and pandemic world. According to Yang, "In the next 12 years, 1 out of 3 American workers is at risk of losing their jobs to new technologies—and unlike with previous waves of automation, this time new jobs will not appear quickly enough in large enough numbers to make up for it. To avoid an unprecedented crisis, we’re going to have to find a new solution, unlike anything we’ve done before."

When people are released from prison, Universal Basic Income will be their lifeline back into society. Let's support Andrew Yang's Universal Basic Income and end prison's revolving door policy. This is how the next Administration can safely reintegrate 1.2 million fellow Americans currently doing time for non-violence drug offenses and other low level crimes. This is how we return millions of fathers and mothers back to their families.

Biden Details Proposal To Advance Racial Equity In America

July 28, 202012:33 PM ET

Former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, on Tuesday detailed a proposal to advance racial equity in the United States.

The plan is the fourth and final pillar of his "Build Back Better" agenda for economic recovery, crafted in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

"[Biden] believes in an economy where every American enjoys a fair return for their work and an equal chance to get ahead. An economy more vibrant and more powerful precisely because everybody will be included in the deal. An economy where Black, Latino, Asian American and Pacific Islander, and Native American workers and families are finally welcomed as full participants," the campaign proposal says.

The Obamas Are “Concerned” About Young People’s Lack of Enthusiasm?
My thoughts on some of the comments made on Michelle Obama’s new podcast.
I still remember the day that Barack Obama was sworn in to office. My entire eighth grade class was crammed in to the lecture hall just after we had finished lunch, and our math teacher stood before us at the front of the room with the projector at the ready. Before turning on the inauguration, he gave probably one of the most impassioned speeches I’ve ever heard in person, throughout which he made sure to remind us more than once that were were living through and about to witness history. I can’t say that I recall all the details of Barack Obama’s speech, but I distinctly remember feeling genuinely excited about the future, and captivated by the promise that seemed to present itself with every word he said.

Of course, I’m not the only one who found themselves thoroughly disappointed.
