Dear <<First Name>> <<Last Name>>,

Happy 2019! Read on to discover what is on the horizon for us this year.

 Charlotte Ballet | Shakespeare Reinvented

Peter is hard at work in Charlotte, NC creating a new work for the dancers of Charlotte Ballet. As a part of the Innovative Works program, Peter is working with Robinson Distinguished Professor of Shakespeare, Dr. Andrew Hartley, to dive into the complexities and intricacies of Shakespeare. Additionally, Peter is thrilled to be collaborating with Jacob Kelberman (music composition), JP Woodey (lighting/projection), and Katherine Zywczyk (costumes.) chuthis. company member Jenni Gordon joins Peter as his assistant in the choreographic process.

Entitled Let Be, Peter's creation is inspired by Shakespeare's Hamlet.
Rather than attempting to retell the Hamlet story, or to capture its major plot features—vengeance, tragedy, and procrastination—Peter and collaborator Dr. Andrew Hartley are focusing on Hamlet’s dramaturgical shift in character... shedding the trappings of the story itself and focusing on that positive journey, while still drawing on the richness and beauty of the text. Let Be will premiere alongside a new work by choreographer Stephanie Martinez on January 25th, 2019 at the Center for Dance in Charlotte. The program runs through February 16, 2019. Buy tickets here!
