B division back in business!

Rocky Bay race kicks off summer in style

Last Saturday saw the first passage race of the 2019-20 season, with 18 yachts lining up on the start line for a great downwind course from Orakei to Rocky Bay going around plenty of 'cans' on the way.

Sunny skies and a 15-20kt westerly made for great sailing, plenty of gybing, and an exhilarating finish in the entrance to the bay. It was fantastic to see the B-division back at strength, with 5 Tino Rawa trust yachts entered, and Ethel, the 1896 Logan racer-cruiser.

Congratulations to Arcturus, Tucana, and Starlight for their divisional wins, and Ariki & Teal for their first on lines.

K-class book launch - all welcome

Patio Bay - don't miss it!
