COMMUNITY UPDATE - November 2019
Fall 2019 Update
As we near the end of our first 13 weeks of school, scholars are preparing to show what know they know by taking a variety of exams. Elementary scholars will take Interim Assessments (an SBAC preview exam) and the Secondary School has Trimester Final Exams. Please make sure to be on the lookout for review packets and additional study sessions.

After finals, we will have our first Parent-Teacher conferences of the year. On Thursday, November 21 parents will have an opportunity to come to campus to pick up your scholar's T1 report card and speak to your scholar's teacher(s) about progress during T1. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Finally, we have been working diligently to share the story of Democracy Prep. This link is the first of a number of videos that will be coming out this year. The purpose of these videos is to help our community learn about the mission, vision, and values of Democracy Prep. Please enjoy and share freely!

T1 Parent-Teacher Conferences
On Thursday, November 21 from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm we will have our first Parent-Teacher conferences of the school year. At this conference, parents will receive scholar's T1 report card and have the opportunity to speak to teachers 1:1 about your scholar's progress and ways to support your scholar for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

Parent-Teacher conferences are a wonderful opportunity for parents and guardians to visit campus and get a strong understanding of their scholar's daily work. Our goal is to have 75% of families pick up their report cards and visit teachers on Thursday, November 21. As we continue to grow more connected as a school community, we want to have more families on campus for critical moments in the academic year!

DPAC Volunteering.
Parent involvement in a scholar's education is a critical part of children's academic success and we want to provide all families at DPAC the opportunity to come to take part in their child's education by volunteering at school.

We realize each of our families is unique, with its own talents and time constraints and would like to provide as many different volunteer opportunities as possible.

If you would like to volunteer on campus, please complete THIS FORM and we will contact you to set up your volunteering opportunity.

This is a family event and you ARE NOT required to donate food to participate. If you are able to donate food, please complete this form by November 7
