Executive Director's Message
Hello DPAC Families -- Our team just returned from two days of Professional Development in San Antonio, TX with more than 1,000 other Democracy Prep staff members. Our team is coming back to Las Vegas primed to close out the first Trimester of school strong. It has been exciting to watch scholars grow this fall. and I am eager to see our staff put their skills to work to help our scholars achieve their academic goals for the remainder of the year!
Scholar Section
Trimester Exams:
All scholars in grades 3-12 have exams at the end of the Trimester. Please prepare for your exams by reviewing notes, speaking to teachers about topics covered on exams, and most importantly taking care of yourselves -- eating properly and getting enough sleep.

Winter Sports:
November brings the start of our winter sports. Please be on the look out for tryout dates for our basketball teams. If you have questions, please talk to Coach Gipson for more information.
Parent Section
Trimester 1 Family Conference:
On Thursday, Nov. 28 from 1:00pm - 7:00pm we will hold our Trimester 1 Family Conferences. These mandatory conferences allow you to 1.) collect your child's Trimester 1 report card and 2.) speak with your child's teachers 1:1. You will be able to understand the grades your scholar earned and how you can partner with your child's teacher(s) to help your them achieve academic success.

FLC Meeting:
On Tuesday, Oct. 9 we held our first FLC Meeting. You can find the presentation at this link. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 5:30 in the DPAC Cafeteria. There will be FREE DINNER and sessions on Financial Education that include the following topics:
  1. Saving for College
  2. Saving for Retirement
  3. Household Budgeting
  4. Securing a Mortgage
Thanksgiving Pot Luck:
On Friday, Nov. 16 at 5:00pm in the DPAC Cafeteria we will host our 2nd annual Thanksgiving Pot Luck. Please see below for what store-bought item your scholar's grades should bring. You can sign up at this link to bring your items.
  • Kindergarten: Utensils
  • 1st Grade: Plates
  • 2nd Grade: Napkins
  • 3rd Grade: Cups
  • 4th Grade: Dinner Rolls
  • 5th Grade: Canned Veggies
  • 6th Grade: Stuffing or Dressing
  • 7th Grade: Mashed Potatoes
  • 8th Grade: Cranberry Sauce
  • 9th Grade: Mac n' Cheese
  • 10th Grade: Drinks
  • 11th Grade: Desserts
  • 12th Grade: Desserts
Lost & Found:
Scholars often leave clothes on and around campus. The Lost & Found is located in the Main Office. If your scholar is missing items, please have them search for them in our Lost & Found. Please note: we donate unclaimed items in the Lost & Found on the last Friday of each month.  
DPAC Happenings
After School Campus Access:
Beginning Monday, November 5 the South Gate will close at 4:30pm. If you need access to campus after 4:30pm, please come to the main office where a DPAC staff member or a team member from Symbolic Art (our Before and After-School care program) will greet you and direct you to any events.

Nov. 5-9: DPAC ES & MS early release (12:30pm)
Nov. 7-9: DPAC HS early release (12:30pm)
Nov. 12: No School (Veterans Day)
