NMAAM's Women In Harmony
March is Women's History Month, and all month long NMAAM is saluting Black women in music with our Women In Harmony series. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to catch our weekly features: Trivia Tuesday, The Power of She, our brand new Women In Harmony video series, and end of the week blog posts, celebrating Black women's contributions to music, culture, and the movement for social justice throughout the month of March. Each week's theme will center Black women working in a specific genre or aspect of music creation who are using their platform to empower, inspire, and educate.

And, stay tuned for a special announcement about our Women In Harmony event to close out the month!

Volunteer with NMAAM
NMAAM wants YOU to become a volunteer! Volunteers are extensions of our museum education team, acting as guides, storytellers, and orators, engaging visitors with the history of African American musical innovation, and inspiring them to understand the greatest connection each person has within the world-- music.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn and grow in numerous roles including assisting in areas of retail, education, visitor service, and more. Select volunteers will also serve as griots, or storytellers, guiding visitors throughout their museum tour experience.
