The City of Wolverhampton Council's Co-Production and Youth Engagement Team - FAO Headteachers of Special Schools and SENCOs
The City of Wolverhampton Council's Co-Production and Youth Engagement Team is encouraging schools, services and other community and voluntary organisations to pledge their support in working together through co-production.
What is Co-production?
Co-production is a simple idea. It's about individuals, communities and organisations working together as equal partners, sharing decision-making to create services and support that work for the people they are designed for. It’s a way of working that shares responsibility and power, doing ‘with’ people rather than doing ‘to’.
In co-production, we involve all the relevant people in the design, delivery, and evaluation of services and in any decisions that affect them. This gives people real choice and control leading to better lives for everyone.
In applying for Co-Production Charter status, children, young people, and families will recognise your value and welcome their involvement, keeping them at the heart of discussions and decisions that affect their own life, and those of the wider community.
The Co-Production and Youth Engagement Team is running a series of workshops to assist and support you in your application. Sign up now and make the first step in pledging your support to co-production!
The workshops will be delivered via Microsoft Teams on 6th and 7th June.
