Staff and pupils held a fundraising event on Monday on behalf of one of their students who last August was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Since then the school have been raising money and Monday was their final fundraising challenge - Goals for Kai.
Half of the money raised will go to The Wolves Foundation, who ran a sponsored penalty shootout, with all children taking a penalty against Wolfie.
The other half of the money will go to Kai's choice of hospitals in Manchester and Birmingham.
To raise extra money a team of their staff also walked from the Molineux to The Hawthorns and Kai's class teacher and teaching assistant "braved the shave and the chop".
So far they have already raised over £5000. A huge well done and thank you to everyone involved and that donated.

Fully Funded National Professional Qualifications Autumn 2022 with ConnectEd Partnership and Best Practice Network
ConnectEd Partnership are pleased to be working once again as a Delivery Partner with Best Practice Network (BPN) for the 22-23 Academic Year. We are offering the NPQSL plus the NPQLT and NPQLTD in Wolverhampton and these programmes are being delivered by our own facilitators who are experienced senior leaders from Wolverhampton schools.
DfE scholarships available for all NPQs
School leaders and teachers can apply for the full range of NPQs on offer with BPN and full NPQ scholarships, covering the entire cost of the qualification. Targeted Support Funding for Small Schools In addition to the full scholarship funding in place for all state-maintained schools and academies, the DfE are also introducing additional payments to small schools to enable them to support their teachers and leaders to undertake NPQs. This ‘Targeted Support Fund’ will give a grant payment of £200 per participant to settings with 1-600 pupils, for every teacher or leader they employ who participates in an NPQ. Organisations that are eligible for NPQ scholarships will also be eligible for targeted support funding. Our understanding at this stage is that these payments will go direct to schools.
Applications close on 22nd July for the Autumn 2022 cohort Please click here for full details and how to apply for one of the programmes.

Music Programme 2022/23 - New
Working in close partnership with the Wolverhampton Music School, we are developing a music programme of work for Early Years. This would involve staff CPD, events and workshops all to be designed and delivered from January 2023.
We are looking into programmes of work that would be sustainable for Early Years settings, as we believe music, song and dance can be highly beneficial to the first stages of learning. With DfE guidance changing recently around age criteria, and more funding being made available, we are working on a road map for our City to develop Early Years in music and performing arts.
To enable us to gauge interest and a current baseline of our schools, we would like you to complete a short survey.
This will tell us of your interest to be involved and what your current position is. It will give us all we need to apply for extra funding and ensure this model of work is sustainable and has a good legacy through practitioner development.
This is a very short survey that will take no more than a minute or two. Click here to get started.
