Living Streets Walk to School Challenge
WOW – The FREE Walk to School Challenge
What is WOW?
WOW is Living Streets walk to school challenge. It’s a pupil-led initiative where children self-report how they get to school every day using our award-winning Travel Tracker.
Designed to promote active travel and physical activity, WOW helps reduce congestion and pollution outside the school gates, while increasing safety and improving the physical and mental wellbeing of pupils. Those who travel sustainably (walk, cycle, scoot or park and stride) get rewarded with collectible badges.
Participating schools see a 23% increase in pupils walking to school and a 30% reduction in congestion outside the school gates. Further information can be found here.
In the West Midlands, we are offering a number of FREE Department of Transport funded places (valued at upwards of £500 per school) for schools to get involved in WOW and these are being offered on a first come first served basis.
To secure a place, please fill in this short form and we will be in touch as soon as we can. Alternatively you can contact the West Midlands Coordinator directly: Sameena Parvaz
