Here's what you need for the Village Community Association Annual General Meeting next week

We have posted several documents to review for the upcoming AGM: the Agenda, proposed Past Minutes, proposed changes to the Constitution and Bylaws are all available on the VCA website on the Newsletter page.  The Financial  documents will be available shortly.
Please take time to have a look in preparation for the meeting.
  • Date:  Wednesday, April 17
  • Time: 7 pm
  • Location:  The Old Winery Restaurant – Lower Level

Please come early and enjoy dinner in the Restaurant at 5:30 (reservations are required.)
The Old Winery Restaurant

The restaurant has provided their lower dining room for the VCA meeting at no cost – but are asking that we not to use the main parking lot.
Maybe a walk over is a good idea! You can use the parking lot across the street if you prefer to drive over.

Your Membership is about to expire
On-line Option to Join or Renew

Memberships for the VCA run from May 1 to April 30 and are $30 per household per year.

This is the first year we have had an on-line membership option.  You can go to the VCA website and complete the membership application on-line – then e-transfer the $30 fee via your bank.   Done – you don't have to find your cheque book!
Here’s the steps: Or – you can go old-school and drop your application and cheque to Randy at 41 Brock St.
  • Either way we appreciate your early renewal which will move things along at the door at the AGM on April 17
  • There will be a registration desk at the meeting and those who registered on-line can pick up their membership cards at the desk.

Volunteers still needed

We have several positions on the Executive Committee open this year.  President, Vice-President,  Treasurer and Recording Secretary.  This is an excellent time to get to know your community.
The role of the VCA is three-fold:
  • Advocacy with the town to improve life in The Village (parking, traffic, etc.)
  • Social Events planned such as the Christmas party, Garage Sale and the coming golf tournament
  • Enhancing The Village appearance with gardens in the summer and the Christmas lights in winter
And of course – keeping you informed with regular newsletters and website updates.

Notice a street light burnt out?

We can help with that.  Send an email to Mona and we will make a list and contact the city.  Give us your street address and where the burnt out light is located.
