It's Almost Lumiere Night!
Well….the weather outside is NOT frightful tomorrow, and that’s delightful because it means our neighbourhood Lumiere event can proceed Wednesday evening as planned.
The decorating team will be assembling and setting out the candle bags on pathways by each park late in the afternoon, and lighting them at dusk. Since there won’t be any rain or snow (hopefully) the lights should continue to shine until almost midnight.
Date: Wednesday, December 23
Time: Sunset - 4:45 pm
You are probably familiar with the lumieres from previous years, but there is more to see this season; the team has extended their coverage farther along the path next to Niagara Stone Road, and to the small park on Brock Street between Kirby and Murray.
So check out the latest additions, stroll around the neighbourhood (at a COVID distance), take some photos to show off our beautiful Village to friends and family, and let us know what you think.
The weather should be fair, and the lumieres are only worthwhile if as many residents as possible make a point of seeing them. This is a one night only event, so don’t miss it.
