Membership Ambassadors

Here’s a great way to meet your neighbours and build our community.

Judy Huntington-Mackay (VCA Membership Coordinator) is looking for 9 to 10 or more volunteers to act as Membership/Welcome Ambassadors for The Village.
If you can spare some time to welcome our neighbours and support the Village Community Association, we’ve got a job for you!
Here’s what we hope you can help us with:

• Deliver flyers once or twice a year to homes in your area to promote membership and General meetings.
• Assist at General Meetings with Membership renewal (once we can meet in person).
• Let us know when you have a new neighbour.
• Assist with dropping off welcome packages (with a bonus jar of jam).

For those of us who received a Welcome Package and that jar of jam, you will remember how great you felt meeting someone in your neighbourhood.  For some it was Erna Antaya.  For some, it was Sue Henry.  For others it was Judy Huntington-Mackay.  And some we missed!  No matter who delivered it, you just felt like you had landed in the right community.  It’s great to be that first impression for a new resident of The Village.

The group will have a kick-off meeting via Zoom in February to get into the details of the role, and to develop an action plan. 
Together, we can help increase the VCA membership, welcome all new residents to The Village, and have some fun doing it!
