Introducing Elizabeth Bear at #CONTINUUM2018!

As reviewer Andrew Black wrote, "rarely do you find a Lovecraftian tale that makes you wonder about the nature of humanity and what it means to be free."

Elizabeth Bear works primarily in speculative fiction genres, and much of her work can be found online. She won the 2005 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer, the 2008 Hugo Award for Best Short Story for “Tideline”, and the 2009 Hugo Award for Best Novelette for “Shoggoths in Bloom.” She is one of only five writers who have gone on to win multiple Hugo Awards for fiction after winning the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer.

And that's just the short list of her accolades. An amazingly prolific writer, and blogger for Tor, unabased fan of the genre, and unapologetic feminist, some of the Con staff didn't know where to begin!

Not already a fan? Any chance you might like:
  • A cyberpunk dystopian story in an all-too possible near-future with a really high body count? Check
  • A continent-spanning story of gods, war, magic, inheritance, love, and loss? Check
  • A hard scifi tale with carnivorous plants, conflicted loyalties, family, survival, and social—and biological—change? Check
  • A tale of Elizabethan intrigue where words are literally sorcery? Check.
  • An alternative history steampunk adventure tale about a sex-worker in high-quality bordello of the Pacific Northwest? Check
Visit our page on her for more information! Better yet, come to Continuum and meet her yourself!

Rumor has it she's to be joined by her spouse, and they'll be reading brand-new, unpublished works...

Have you purchased your membership yet? The price increases on September 17th, so don't miss out on this fantastic offer!
