It is a privilege to lead this amazing school.

Highgate is full of chaos, charm, change, growth and stories that cannot be told. Many circumstances could easily trip this school up, but somehow it works – and works well. For your collective and individual contributions, for getting your children to school each day, for your encouragement, for your coaching, support and help – thanks.

Goodbye, enjoy your break, and have a lovely Christmas. We look forward to welcoming you all at the start of next year for another lap around the sun!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
SCHOOL REPORTS
Reports were published via Connect this week. Please follow the instructions below to access your child's Semester 2 Report: 

1. Log into Connect using your p-number and password. 
2. On the top bar, select 'My Children'.
3. Along the left bar, select 'Reports'.
4. Select the year you would like to view (i.e. 2022).
5. The report will then be listed by semester - click on it to download and view your child's report. 

If you have more than one child in your family, you can swap between children by selecting the switch icon on the top left of your screen (just below the Connect icon).

HOME DELIVERY
Your order will be dispatched for $2.50 no later than the week ending 20 January 2023 but where possible will be dispatched earlier, if placed on or before the return date of Thursday 15 December 2022. Orders placed after the 15 December will incur a late fee of $5.00. Please allow sufficient time for delivery to occur prior to the commencement of the school year.

Please note: It is not compulsory to order through Campion; you may purchase your requirements elsewhere.

ARTY FARTY CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS STREET PARTY
BRASS ON THE GRASS
It has been a busy couple of weeks for our TAGS music students, with students participating in various performances both at school and in the wider community. Our final performance for the year was on Sunday 11 at Brass on the Grass. The choir sang beautifully and were invited to stay for an extended set with the East Perth Community Choir. It was a fantastic event to be part of and we look forward to joining them again next year!
BOOK FAIR
Thank you to all of the Highgate PS community that came to our recent Book Fair.  We were able to purchase some great books for our students.  A huge thank you to Zrinka and Suzanne for taking three days out of their busy schedules to run the Book Fair for us.

LEWIS 1 STOCKINGS
As part of Design and Technology, Lewis 1 investigated what materials would be most suitable to make Christmas stockings.  The criteria included function and visual appeal.  Students then had to discuss, design and sew a Christmas stocking.  After completion, they evaluated and justified their designs and suggested solutions to problems that arose.  I think, overall, they did a great job!
