Ongoing Zooms

Today - Monday, May 4, 5 PM: The text discussion havura continues their discussion of the book of Ruth. This group will discuss the book of Ruth until Shavuot. To join this discussion group, email jrabinowicz[at]hotmail.com.

Tomorrow - Tuesday May 5, 8:30 AM: Rabbi Andrea leads a meditative morning service. If you are on our services list you will automatically receive the link to attend at around 8:15. To be added to this list, please reply to this email.

Chanting Service

Rabbi Andrea will lead a meditative Shabbat chanting service over zoom this Saturday, May 9, at 10 AM. If you are on our services list, you will receive the link automatically at around 9:45 that morning. If you would like to be added to that list, please respond to this email.

Days of Possibilities Online Play

Rabbi Andrea has a small yet big role as Student #9 in a Silverthorne Theater production of DAYS OF POSSIBILITIES, a play by Rich Orloff that explores the journey of one college's response to the Vietnam War, from small and polite demonstrations in 1964 to the campus-wide response in 1970 to the Kent State shootings. 

The production will be aired LIVE on Facebook tonight, May 4, at 7 PM - the 50th anniversary of the Kent State shootings.  The play will be live-streamed at 
https://www.facebook.com/silverthornetheater/, and the recording will be posted on YouTube on May 6.

Refugee Support Project

Temple Israel's Refugee Support Project is currently supporting the work of Jewish Activists for Immigration Justice as they work to help get people out of ICE detention in the Bristol County jail in North Dartmouth, MA, before COVID-19 spreads throughout the facility.

JAIJ have shared information about the situation in the Bristol County Jail, as well as two things you can do to support this cause. We have posted this information on the Refugee Support page on our website - click here to visit this page and learn how you can help.
