Weekly Bulletin: April 20

~ New Procedure for Sending Invites to Services ~

We've had an amazing response to our online services and it's been wonderful to gather everyone together in the virtual space! We are making some adjustments to our process of sending out invitations to services, to help us streamline and make sure we don't miss anyone who may want to attend.

We are keeping a list of those who have attended or have expressed interest in attending services. Going forward, we will send the invitation to join services to this entire list, rather than creating RSVP lists individualized to each service.

What this means for you: If you have attended or RSVP'ed to a service in the past, you will automatically receive the link for future services; you do not need to RSVP to each one. If you'd like to make sure you're on (or off!) this list, please send us an email and we'll check your status!

Thanks to all for your patience and participation.

Rosh Hodesh Renewed

A Rosh Hodesh (New Moon) Celebration will be held April 23rd, 6:30 pm by Zoom for Temple Israel women. Rhonda Wainshilbaum will host the meeting.  Be sure you RSVP if you want to attend so that you are on the invitation list.

For 20 years, there was a robust and transformative Rosh Hodesh group at Temple Israel.  Our Group not only brought women together to create a spiritual community through study, ritual and experience, but it also infused our tradition with a more expansive view.  Women in  many Rosh Hodesh groups drew inspiration from women like Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb, Marge Piercy and Judith Plaskow to create an inclusive and feminist view of the Jewish tradition.

Join us on April 23rd at 6:30 pm.  Remember to RSVP to Rhonda  (rhondawain (at) We will begin our time together like we always have, by sharing on a theme. If you are so moved, please bring your thoughts and/or a reflection, reading or poem on this question:  During this challenging time, what inspires you, brings you joy and peace or fosters resilience?
We look forward to creating a circle of women again!
Blessings, Ellen Kaufmann, Rhonda Wainshilbaum, Christine Benvenuto and Sher Sweet
