Rosh Hashanah
Prayerbooks

Temple Israel's Rosh Hashanah 5781 take-home package Holiness in the Home is ready for pick up! Each package contains one each of:
  • Machzor (prayerbook)
  • Shiviti (art piece to be used as visual meditation)
  • Yahrtzeit candle
  • A page of instructions, ideas to create holiness, and gatherings schedule
These packages may be picked up at the Temple Thursday 9/17 10-3. If this pickup time does not work for you or you would like to request delivery, please contact us.

When you arrive for pickup, you may ring the bell at the office entrance or call from your car and someone will bring it out to you. Please wear a mask and keep physical distance from others.

Food Drive

In conjunction with Hunger Awareness Week in Franklin County (the week between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur) we are encouraging you all to participate in a non-perishable food drive.  When you come to pick up your machzors for the holiday, consider dropping off a bag of shelf-stable food which we will distribute to appropriate agencies in Franklin County.

There is a plastic bin placed outside the Office entrance for you to deposit non-perishables at a time convenient to you. Thank you for supporting local hunger relief efforts!

Our liturgy teaches us that 3 things sweeten the karma we may have accrued over the year: Tzedaka, Tefilla and Teshuva. Generosity, Sincere Prayer and Remorse break through our more self-centered tendencies.  Please share generously - for your own selfish purpose!

Contribution Link

This link may be used to contribute online for the High Holidays or any Temple class/program. Simply note the purpose of the contribution in the "Notes" field. Checks may also be mailed to 27 Pierce Street, Greenfield, MA 01301.
