Latke Kit Fundraiser

Deadline for ordering latke kits is this Thursday, 12/3 at noon!

Just in time for Hanukkah!

Rabbi Andrea's Home Grown Potatoes are available with a cruse of oil for your Hanukkah observances.
2-3 pounds of satina white potatoes will come with a cruse of oil and a box of candles.
A recipe for potato latkes and a link to a short video Called Bubbe Makes Latkes will be included, as well.
A donation of $18+ is your ticket to this unique offer.
Deadline for orders is noon on 12/3; order by emailing
Pickup 12/7 or 12/10 at TI, with some delivery available.
Proceeds will support Social Justice programming at Temple Israel.

Community Menorah Lightings (Virtual)

Chanukah begins next Thursday, December 10, and Temple Israel is hosting Menorah lightings every night of the holiday at 6 PM. Join us on Zoom - different community members will be leading blessings and songs each night. The Zoom link will be shared in our weekly How to Participate email, or email us to get the link!

Chanukah/Shabbat meal for TIG members

Temple Israel members are invited to share a virtual Zoom Shabbat Dinner together on Shabbat Chanukah, Friday, December 11. Join us for menorah lighting at 6 PM, after which we will randomly place participants into breakout Zoom rooms to eat and socialize in small groups.

We will provide meals from Holyoke Hummus: Falafel, Family Style, which includes falafel, pickled turnips, hummus, pita chips or carrots, stuffed grape leaves and salad. Challah and/or baklava can also be added to the order.

To participate, please RSVP by Tuesday, December 8th by email to or call Kate Lee, Director of Operations at 413-773-5884. Include the following information: # of meals to reserve, and whether challah and/or baklava are also requested. All participating households should plan to pick up their meals at TI on Friday, December 11 between 4:00-5:30 PM.

This dinner is supported by a Rekindle Shabbat grant from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.
