It’s one of my goals to help build a sense of community within the classes and talking about friends who aren’t able to come or commenting how we’re looking forward to when they arrive helps!
Each semester of the Music For me Classes consists of 8 classes. We repeat the same songs and musical activities in the same order for all eight classes. This routine and consistency helps young children in several ways. Establishing a routine takes a lot of the guess work out of class. When children aren’t left guessing what is coming next, it frees up so much energy for learning new skills, strengthening areas of development and enjoying our little musical community. It’s amazing when you consider all the various things children are learning during class and how by the end of the eight weeks, many of our students will have mastered nine new songs and built a stronger interest in literature.
Each child is on their own unique journey and the Music For me Classes are a safe place for them to try new things, feel their big feelings, make mistakes, and learn that they can try again and be success.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I’m looking forward to making music with you all!!
