SRSD EAs Vote to Accept Offer
We are pleased to advise that the ballots were counted this evening and MGEU members of Local 145 – Seine River School Division Educational Assistants voted in favour of the employer’s offer.
The offer includes wage increases which bring us in line with EAs in other divisions. It also includes a number of other improvements including increases to professional development days, access to an employer-paid Employee Assistance Plan and double time on scheduled days of rest and statutory holidays.
We want to give a big shout out to all of you who supported the Bargaining Committee with an overwhelming strike mandate.
We believe that your solidarity is the reason we got such strong offer.
The agreement will come into effect on date of signing. We will do everything we can to finalize the agreement so that it can be signed as soon as possible.
