Why You Should Get a Home Inspection

When buying a home, there are a lot of extra costs and steps in the process. One of the most important steps is to get a home inspection, and here are the benefits of getting one:
  • Keeps you safe by detecting issues like radon, carbon monoxide, and mold.
  • It gives you an opportunity to back out of the offer to buy if you don't feel comfortable with what the inspector has found.
  • Reveals illegal additions or installations that were made in the home.
  • Gives you a negotiation tool to ask for repairs and/or request a price reduction or credit from the seller.
  • Gives you an idea of the future costs you may face to repair, replace, and maintain items in your home.
