#FRC: Violence Prevention & Gender Equality Starting from schools

The Forming Responsible Citizens (FRC) project aims to contribute to the prevention of violence through the implementation of a renewed civic education methodology in Morocco and Tunisia, which highlights the prevention of violence and promotes equality between boys and girls.
The first trimester of 2017 is started with main activities, see below the last updates of the last three months of #FRC: Focus groups, conference, training and more.

Citizenship education and youth empowerment


Highlighted the role of citizenship education to promote gender equality, active citizenship behaviors and socioeconomic development.

FRC Teacher training in Casablanca

28 teachers and CSO leaders met in Casablanca from 24 to 26 March under the theme "Implementing Forming Responsible Citizens Modules Effectively".see more

New education clubs started in Tunisia 

 In the three pilot schools on 17 of March, education clubs have been inaugurated see more

Teacher Training in Tunisia

 30 teachers, from three schools of the region of Silianan and Nabeul, have been trained with a new methodology  for civic education that includes several theme and innovative approach, see more

Steering Board Committee

 
Practitioners, experts and public education institutions engaged with the FCR. The meetings  took place in Hammamet, on the 24th of February, and on the 28th of February in Casablanca; the steering Board Committee strengthens the quality control and the validation of the FRC strategy. see more

Morocco: Conference & partnership agreement.

 
The MMCCE in partnership with ideaborn and supported by the Moroccan Ministry of Education organized a National Conference on the 17th of January in Casablanca on new youth violence Patterns. see more

FRC focus groups held in Casablanca

 
hosted in the delegation of Ain Sebaa Hay Mohammadi and by the Middle School IBN ROCHD, Casablanca the focus groups generated a debate, suggestions and validation of the new citizenship methodology. see more

  • Educa2017 Conference, Hammamet the 3rd of March, FRC Tunisian National Expert, Ms. Ilhem Manosur presented the the FRC Project. see more
  • Ottawa, UNESCO Global Education CONFERENCE 4-6 of March, the director of the MCCE, Mr. Elarbi Imad, introduced to the GECC the principles and the methodology of FRC
