Jean M. Smith Branch Library Expansion | Greer, SC
Twenty-three years after the debut of Jean M. Smith Branch Library, the oldest of nine prototypical designs, CGD was commissioned to re-envision the 11,500 SF library. A renovation of the existing library and addition of 5,000 SF will allow for expanded patron services, increased staff efficiencies, and integration of state-of-the-art technology.
The long-awaited renovation of The Darrell W. Harrison Hall of Natural Sciences at Roper Mountain Science Center (RMSC) has come to an end. The 1970's structure, named for the Director of RMSC from 1983-2001, was due for structural upgrades as well as updates to the marine lab with new touch tanks, new habitats for several hundred animals and updated classrooms with improved technology. The $3 million renovation includes a new shark exhibit featuring a Megalodon jaw and shark tracker, helping us keep an eye on our Coastal Carolina shark activity.
Welcome to CGD ladies!!!
