RESTORATION OF PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE'S NEVILLE HALL
Commissioned to restore the grandeur of the original design, Craig Gaulden Davis launched an intensive study of Neville Hall's condition and historical significance, paying particular attention to the central rotunda that had been concealed by decades of renovations. The finished product offers an uninterrupted transition from old to new.

CELEBRATING NEW HIRES
Kate Barton recently joined CGD as our new Creative Coordinator, filling a much needed and multifaceted marketing and design role born out of last spring’s ten year firm visioning retreat. As a Greenville native this is somewhat of a homecoming for Kate. Between Greenville then and Greenville now, she was a Varsity rower at Clemson, a nurse in a couple east coast cities, an artist and design firm creative coordinator in a couple west coast cities, a volunteer, traveler, and creator all over.
Now, she’s back with a plethora of qualities garnered across these experiences, each arguably springing from a similar vein of culture care and design advocacy. These merits dovetail faultlessly with what CGD is about, and we are delighted to have Kate with us.
DEDICATED TO GREENVILLE COUNTY SCHOOLS
CGD is fortunate to have a healthy, synergistic relationship with the Greenville County School District. As participants in the design of learning institutions and fellow community members, it is of utmost importance to support and participate in the success of our local schools. To that end, here are a few goings-on worth sharing:
  • Our Director of Interior Design, Andrea Kuhfuss, hit the turf with Kelly Moorehead (of Tandus Centiva) and Adam Stewart (of Bonitz) for a beautiful day at Pebble Creek Golf Course in support of the 22nd Annual Greenville County School Foundation Scholarship Golf Tournament.

To aid in the rising costs of tuition, the Foundation awards college scholarships to applicants from across Greenville County. To date, GCSF has raised over $500,000, awarding scholarships to 29 graduating seniors in 2017. Congratulations to all the recipients!

  • Our faithful advocate for Greenville County school teachers, Principal Scott Powell, has participated, for his fourth year in a row, in awarding the Teacher of the Year. He summed up his appreciation for the top 4 winners in an op-ed published in the Greenville News.

  • Last but certainly not least, Craig Gaulden Davis in association with Perkins + Will were awarded the architecture and design of the new Fountain Inn High School. The new school will accommodate 1000 students and be South Carolina’s first STEAM-based, manufacturing focused high school. We are thrilled to be collaborating with the Greenville County School District (again) bringing innovative design and technology to our schools!
