Environment Now joins forces with the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation

We are excited to announce that Environment Now has shifted its programming and grant making activities under the management of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (LDF). LDF and Environment Now will collaborate and share resources as both organizations seek to address the most urgent environmental issues of our time. Founded by the family of Frank and Luanne Wells in 1989, Environment Now focuses on forest and coastal preservation, air quality, and water sustainability, primarily in California.  Read More >

Nature for Water: protection of ecosystems is key to water security

Forests, grasslands, mountains and wetlands are essential for water security. Natural ecosystems have a vital role to play in securing water resources -- regulating water flow, ensuring water quality, and reducing impacts from natural disasters. LDF is proud to release our first official white paper with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), entitled “Nature for Water," which details the need for environmental conservation to help address the growing water crisis.  Read More >

On World Water Day, a campaign kicks off for #LessOilMoreWater

Our friends at Amazon Frontlines have launched the #LessOilMoreWater campaign to help reach the goal of bringing clean drinking water to Indigenous families affected by oil contamination in the Amazon.
