We are excited to announce this opportunity to work with DBT in Schools!
Are you interested or intrigued? Join us for an informational session on February 4th at 4pm CST. Email for more information and to sign up!

WAFCA will select and sponsor one district's training this spring and summer (many thanks to funding support from MHTTC)!

More about the Opportunity:

  • DBT STEPS-A is an emotional problem-solving curriculum based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy. It is designed for adolescents with the goal of teaching skills for emotion management, interpersonal communication and decision-making.
  • The STEPS-A curriculum is an upstream approach to mental wellness. DBT in Schools developed a solution to bring mental wellness strategies to schools that educate the whole child—not just the academic child.
  • This opportunity will include the following components for the selected district:
    • A three-day DBT STEPS-A curriculum training
    • Months of ongoing consultation with DBT in Schools team
    • A DBT-informed counseling strategies training
    • A special training session for administrators & stakeholders
  • More information can be found on the DBT in Schools website, in this brochure, or at the informational session on February 4th! (email to sign up)
