Mass Change

Mass Change can be thought of as an Auto Update button.  It can be used to update a field on the employee master for a group of employees in just a few short clicks.  Using mass change is a great way to take what could be a day’s worth of changes to an employee group into a quick update.  
Some examples of when to use Mass Change can be:
-Hourly or Salary Raises
-Supervisor change
-Business Unit changes
-Benefit Group changes
In the Mass Change application, P06045 depending on what Data Item you enter, you will get different options for the “Method for Numeric Change” when you choose a numeric Data Item.  This can come in handy for changes such as giving a group of employees a pay rate increase as a percentage.
You’ll need to fill out:
Data Item
New Value
Effective On= system date will default, or a future date may be entered
Change Reason
Method of Numeric Change
After you’ve saved this, create or modify a version of (R06045A) – Employee Master Mass Changes to include the employees you want impacted.  Update your data selection to make sure you’re only updating the impacted employees.  Don’t forget to review your processing options as well!
Once your data selection and processing options are all set, your Mass Change is ready to be kicked off!  Make sure to run it in proof mode first and then it will update the F06042 when you run it in Final Mode.  This report generates the mass change records in F06042.  This is the table you are seeing when you go to Future Data EE Master Revision (P06042).
You are also able to enter, import, or paste changes and submit the process in Future Data EE Master Revision(P06042).  This might be useful if you are changing data for employees but the data changes are not the same.
The last step is to submit Future Data Employee Master Update (R06394) to update the Employee Master, which can be submitted through Batch Versions or Final Update
