The International Colloquium on Black Males in Education (ICBME) is proud to serve as one of the sponsors for the annual meeting of the Coalition of Schools Educating Boys of Color (COSEBOC). COSEBOC and ICBME have related missions in that each function to improve the educational outcomes of boys and young men of color. Nearly 1,000 school administrators, practitioners, and policy makers from around the nation will gather this week in New York City for COSEBOC's Tenth Annual Gathering of Leaders to build a stronger leadership network, attend professional development workshops, and listen to a variety of panels describing promising practices of schools that are increasing the academic success of boys and young men of color. The ICBME wishes COSEBOC a successful event and congratulates all attendees for their commitment to improve the lives of boys and young men of color.
Occurring later this year on the beautiful Atlantic island of Bermuda is our signature event, the Fifth Annual International Colloquium on Black Males in Education. Through a diverse array of programs and activities, the Colloquium brings together world-class scholars, high-impact practitioners, policy makers, funders, and students from various fields to share research, effective policies, and innovative practices in order to improve the educational outcomes of Black males across the globe.
