Special Announcement: William A. Keyes IV will serve as a Keynote Speaker at ICBME 2017!
The International Colloquium on Black Males in Education (ICBME) Planning Committee is delighted to announce that Williams A. Keyes IV will serve as a keynote speaker at the 2017 Colloquium in Toronto, Canada, on October 3rd-6th. Keyes is the current president of The Institute of Responsible Citizenship, which focuses on providing opportunities for talented college-aged African American males to succeed.
He will deliver a keynote address titled “Preparing Extraordinary Men to do Extraordinary Things”, which will highlight the work of The Institute of Responsible Citizenship. His address will focus on encouraging young Black men to set high goals for themselves and work hard in order to achieve them.
Due to Keyes' personal work with the empowerment and advancement of Black males in education, we are delighted to introduce him as a keynote speaker for ICBME 2017. This year, the Colloquium will be centered around the theme “The Black Male Mosaic: Unpacking Divergent Experiences in Global Education,” and will allow participants to explore the multifaceted issues facing Black males in higher education across the globe.
The Colloquium Planning Committee wishes again to thank you for your continued support and engagement. We look forward to meeting with you in October.
