Cabinet of Ministers approves the draft law undermining NABU's independence

On February 15, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft law, which will change the procedure of appointment of the director of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine and will immediately dismiss the current director Artem Sytnyk. The proposed legislation will seriously undermine the independence of NABU and will put it under political control.
High Anti-corruption Court revokes acquittal sentence of Trukhanov
On February 11, the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court revoked the acquittal of Odessa mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov and his accomplices in a case of alleged embezzlement of  92 million UAH for the purchase of buildings of Krayan plant by the Odessa City Council. The initial verdict was adopted by the local court in Odessa. The case will go to the repeated trial, which will be carried out by the High Anti-Corruption Court.
MPs introduce the draft law to synchronize Ukrainian sanctions with allies
MPs suggest the draft law that would ban Ukrainian financial institutions to serve individuals and legal entities, which have fallen under sanctions of Ukrainian allies and international organizations, namely, the United States, the EU, the United Kingdom, and the UN Security Council.
How Kozak and Medvedchuk funded their media propaganda machine
Following the shutdown of pro-Russian propagandist TV channels 112, NewsOne, and ZiK, the AntAC investigated the alleged source of funds spent by Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak for the purchase of those channels. We found out that Kozak's companies did not generate real profit and they received millions of dollars from doubtful offshore companies.
