The Commission of Judges Advised International Organizations To Coordinate Nominations to the Council of International Experts

On Tuesday, August 7, the Head of the High Qualification Commission of Judges Serhii Koziakov stated that the HQCJ advised international organizations, eligible to nominate experts to the Public Council of International Experts, to coordinate nomination among themselves. The Public Council of International Experts will participate in the selections of anticorruption judges. More details

SAPO Head Nazar Kholodnytskyi Lent More Than 600,000 UAH To His Deputy


The Head of the Specialized Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, Nazar Kholodnytskyi lent more than 600,000 UAH to his deputy Volodymyr Kryvenko. The latter used this money to buy an apartment worth over 2 million UAH. The loan is interest-free.

That happened four days after the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of Prosecutors had failed to dismiss SAPO Head. Kryvenko gave explanations to the QDCP in favor of Kholodnytskyi. More details

MPs Want To Abolish Notices Of Significant Changes In The Property Status

draft law aimed at abolishing public officials' obligation to e-declare significant changes in their property status was registered in the Verkhovna Rada. It was initiated by MP Serhii Shahov from the party Volya Narodu. 

In case this draft law is adopted, declarants will no longer have to submit into the e-declaration registry information on their income or purchase of property worth more than 50 living wages. To date, a declarant reports changes in property status that exceed 88,000 UAH (around 3,250 USD). Moreover, the bill suggests releasing from administrative responsibility people who fail to report property status changes. More details
